Navi Mumbai combines the TTC and Taloja industrial belts with planned CIDCO nodes, and the new airport area around Ulwe and Panvel is creating fresh demand for 11 KV distribution. Each transformer is coupled directly through a bus duct while one incoming cable serves the whole group, so large sites save cable, jointing kits and land at the same time.

Electricals) and Garrison Engineers (MES), and are type-tested at ERDA, Baroda, so they are accepted for new HT connections and transformer centres under MSEDCL in Navi Mumbai. Product Details
The feeder pillar + coupled type is the advanced version of the M.V. LBSF panel. It combines the advantages of the coupled and feeder pillar types, giving maximum space utilisation at multi-transformer distribution centres.
Material and Construction
- Frame made of heavy steel sheet that protects all mechanical parts from dust, insects and rain.
- Simple, compact and tested construction that does not age or deteriorate during long periods of inactivity.
- Epoxy resin supporting insulators that withstand the electrodynamic stresses guaranteed by the switch.
- 100% non-porous powder coating with provision for cable entry.
Safety Mechanisms
- Independent quick break and make operating mechanism, with springs always in the 'off' position.
- Load break switch with fully interlocked earthing blades.
- Interlock between LBS and door: the door cannot open while the LBS is engaged.
- Interlock between front door and LBS: the LBS cannot be engaged while the front door is open.
- Interlock between LBS and earth switch: the earth switch disconnects first, and only then does the LBS engage.
- Blowing of a single HRC fuse trips the LBS immediately to prevent single phasing.
Performance
- The arc is extinguished quickly by self-generated air through three piston cylinders, one per pole, mounted in axis with the insulators.
- The volume of blown air and the contact separation speed ensure reliable switching even in harsh conditions.
