EL-Tech Controls manufactures and supplies the LBSF Coupled Type Panel in Nashik for distribution transformer centres, HT consumers, industrial plants, townships, hospitals and commercial buildings. Every panel is built at our Ambad MIDC, Nashik works, where we have made MV switchgear since 1995.

LBSF Coupled Type Panel for Nashik's Power Distribution
Nashik is our home city. Our manufacturing works is at Ambad MIDC, so customers in Nashik get direct factory supply, quick site visits and fast after-sales support. Because the panel sits directly against the transformer, it removes the 11 KV cable run between them, which is a real advantage on tight plots, basements and congested city areas.
Our panels are approved by MSEDCL (C.E. Distribution), PWD (C.E. Electricals) and Garrison Engineers (MES), and are type-tested at ERDA, Baroda, so they are accepted for new HT connections and transformer centres under MSEDCL in Nashik. Each panel is built to suit the transformer rating and site layout, for indoor or outdoor use.
Product Details
The coupled LBSF is an upgraded version of the LBSF panel for places with space constraints. The panel is coupled to a compatible transformer through a fabricated bus duct with sleeved copper bus bars, connected directly to the H.V. side bushing of the transformer. Special care is taken to avoid oil leakage at the bushing.
Material and Construction
- Frame made of heavy steel sheet that protects all mechanical parts from dust, insects and rain.
- Simple, compact and tested construction that does not age or deteriorate during long periods of inactivity.
- Epoxy resin supporting insulators that withstand the electrodynamic stresses guaranteed by the switch.
- 100% non-porous powder coating with provision for cable entry.
Safety Mechanisms
- Independent quick break and make operating mechanism, with springs always in the 'off' position.
- Load break switch with fully interlocked earthing blades.
- Interlock between LBS and door: the door cannot open while the LBS is engaged.
- Interlock between front door and LBS: the LBS cannot be engaged while the front door is open.
- Interlock between LBS and earth switch: the earth switch disconnects first, and only then does the LBS engage.
- Blowing of a single HRC fuse trips the LBS immediately to prevent single phasing.
Performance
- The arc is extinguished quickly by self-generated air through three piston cylinders, one per pole, mounted in axis with the insulators.
- The volume of blown air and the contact separation speed ensure reliable switching even in harsh conditions.
