The LBS isolator panel is designed for isolation-only requirements. It consists of a 400A / 630A load break switch and earth switch. Where excess cable length is available, this panel removes the need for a second breaker before the transformer.

Safety Mechanisms
- Independent quick break and make operating mechanism, with springs always in the 'off' position.
- Load break switch with fully interlocked earthing blades.
- Interlock between LBS and door: the door cannot open while the LBS is engaged.
- Interlock between front door and LBS: the LBS cannot be engaged while the front door is open.
- Interlock between LBS and earth switch: the earth switch disconnects first, and only then does the LBS engage.
Performance
- The arc is extinguished quickly by self-generated air through three piston cylinders, one per pole, mounted in axis with the insulators.
- The volume of blown air and the contact separation speed ensure reliable switching even in harsh conditions.
